general rules
- We are an AMA-sanctioned Major Championship series and will follow the AMA rulebook. The Mission Foods CTR Flat Track event staff will make final decision based on class rules. See above for class rules, as our classes may differ slightly than what you see in the AMA rulebook for each class name. Rulings will be made by the trio of our race control, which includes our race director, technical director and race referee.
- If you have any questions on class rules, please reach out to us ahead of time. As riders / crew, it’s your job to know the rulebook.
- No methanol fuel may be used at our events.
- No alcohol may be consumed in the pit area prior or during the event.
- We do not tolerate fighting on or off the track, from riders or crew members. If you are fighting, you will be asked to leave.
- We do not tolerate foul language or cursing at our staff or in public toward one another. This is a family event. If you don’t adhere to this rule, you may be asked to leave.
- We do not allow any kids under 16 to ride pit bikes at our events. This includes eBikes or electric scooters. We tried, and it was abused. If you are found riding a pit bike under the age of 16, you may be asked to leave. At the very minimum, you will be starting your heat race for all your classes on the penalty line.
- In the event of a red flag, you may NOT run onto the track after your rider until the EMT’s are with the rider, and the track is deemed cold by our staff. You will then be allowed to go over with your rider. We will do our best to help you with this, but this is a major safety issue if abused. If you fail to comply with this rule, you may be asked to leave.
- Please conduct yourself responsibly on social media. If you have an issue with something that happened at our events, please reach out to us directly. Comments or posts that may be harmful to our brand may disallow you from our future events. Racing with us isn’t a right, it’s a privilege. We really appreciate everyone who shows up and attends our events.
Line-Ups / Start rules
- We run two rounds of qualifying at all of our events. You must qualify in the class you are signed up for. Going out in another class for qualifying will earn you penalty row starting spots for all classes signed up for that day regardless of times.
- If you qualify on a motorcycle that hasn’t been through tech inspection, you will be start on the penalty line for heat race. If you start a heat race or semi on a motorcycle that hasn’t been through tech inspection, you will be DQed for that race.
- You must have a transponder on your motorcycle to be scored and for the live streaming. Transponder must be attached to motorcycle via bracket. Don’t forget to switch your transponder between motorcycles.
- Heat races will have max 12 riders based on qualifying. There will be a max of 6 riders per row in heats, semis and main events.
- If you miss both your rounds of qualifying (Or fail to score a lap time in qualifying), we will put you at the end of the grid for your heat race as a courtesy.
- Example of how our system (Trackside) lines you up for heat races based on qualifying: Say there are 30 riders, which means there will be three heat races. The rider who qualifies P1 will start on pole in heat three. The rider who qualifies P2 will start pole in heat two. The rider who qualifies P3 will start on pole in heat one. Rider who qualifies P4 will then line up second spot in heat one. Rider in P5 will line up second spot in heat two. Rider who qualifies P6 will line up second spot in heat three. This will be adjusted depending on how many riders sign-up in that class.
12 or less riders = 1 heat race (All to main)
13-20 riders = 2 heat races (4 Advance) + 1 LCQ (4 Advance)
21-24 riders = 2 heat races (4 Advance) + 2 LCQ (2 Advance)
25-30 riders = 3 heat races (2 Advance) + 2 LCQ (3 Advance)
31-36 riders = 3 heat races (3 Advance) + 3 LCQ (1 Advance)
37-48 riders = 4 heat races (2 Advance) + 4 LCQ (1 Advance)
49-67 riders = 7 heat races (1 Advance) + 5 LCQ (1 Advance)
- In heat races, rider on pole will pick top or bottom. Second rider will go to inside or outside of rider on pole, third rider inside or outside of second rider, etc. There will be six square marks on the starting line. Rider must start within their square.
- In LCQ and main events, riders will choose their spot anywhere on the starting line in the order they are lined up. There will be six square marks on the starting line. Rider must start within their square.
- DNS in main event will earn you 0 points. Rider must make the attempt to start main event to earn at the minimum, 12th place points.
